With the end of the golf season rapidly approaching here in the Northeast, I'm considering buying a practice net to put in the garage for the winter. I'm a little hesitant because I've had people tell me that it can ingrain bad swing habits because you can't actually see the ball flight. In other words, you could be perfecting a huge slice and not even know it. The last thing I want to do is ruin all the hard work Monte has done to get me back on track. Does anyone have any experience with using a net during the off months?

Put a stretch of tape from the top of the net all the way to the bottom so that the net is separated into halves by the tape. Aim AT the tape. 80% of the direction the ball will take off is the face. So if it starts left or right of the tape you know you haven't squared the face.
